What a Weekend!

We went to Ohio this weekend for Caroline's 2nd birthday! We had a great time at the party and the best gift everyone got was Uncle Aaron coming home and surprising everyone! We are so glad he is home and safe! Jude decided to do a swan dive into the ice cold beer bucket and was playing in the ice all day and got to pet Buckeye the police dog! Sunday we went over to Gigi and Papa's house and harvested some peppers and tomato's from Papa's garden - plants just grow like crazy there! It was a yummy dinner at Aunt Lori and Uncle Bob's house and time to go home! What a good weekend with family!

Weekend Update!

Once again a busy weekend full of fun for the whole family! Kevin and I told Jude that we would take him to RoboWorld at the Science Center, but were putting it off because we didn't know if it was going to be interesting enough for a 3 year old. Boy were we wrong!! Jude is destined to become an engineer or be on a sub like Papa!! Jude had the time of his life he was running through to get closer to the bots and we got to see R2D2 and C3PO! There were the trains and the Sub which Jude said he wanted in his back yard and that we needed to batten down the hatches!! We took a picnic lunch and fed the geese and birds that were hanging out by the river. We quacked at the just ducky tours that quacked back and Jude told them all Bye Bye! The only down fall of the trip was that Jude had an accident that required an ice pack and a call to the pediatrician who told us that this was just the first of several head injuries that we will experience in Jude's life. He fell of a stool and had a huge goose egg and was a little sleepy but he wanted to keep playing. A couple days before he went head first off a swing and scratched up his nose! We have decided that Jude is a tried and true boy and we better keep the first aid kit ready! We took Jude to his first laser show at the planetarium- not the midnight Pink Floyd but the afternoon Beatles show which was very fun and reminded me of high school days going down late and watching the shows! We had such a great weekend and hopefully we will go again soon and have more fun!

Relaxing Pool Side!

Today was so humid and hot that the only thing we could think of to do was go to the pool! Jude gets so excited for the pool that we have to not tell him were going until the very last minute or else he cries until we go! We got there and right in he goes and he can stand all by himself in the big boy pool which was so exciting! Jude has matured so much lately and his social skills are getting so good! He was asking everyone to play with him and he really wanted to interact with the other kids! The only downfall of the day was Jude threw a dive stick as hard as he could, and I was in the way and my bottom tooth went into my lip! Not enough for stitches but I looked like I got beat up! We left the pool and headed to best buy where Jude found the geek squad cart and just had to ride in it!! For some reason it fit him perfectly - he looked like he should drive it everywhere! Oh and Panama Jack showed up at the pool - Kevin's friend got him this hat because he has such a big head and hats never fit and this one he thought would be big enough! All he needed was a cigar and a Hawaiian shirt!

Weekend Update!

So lots of things this weekend with fireworks and walks. Jude enjoyed the fireworks and he wore my dad's shooting muffs and since he could not hear them he kept saying I love this I love it!! It was the cutest thing he then went on to tell us all the colors he saw and the shapes. It was a lot of fun and he was up way past bedtime which for Jude is not a good thing. The next day was full of grumpy little boy with a NO attitude! We decided to take him to feed the cows and go for a walk and that idea he liked. We never got to feed the cows because our cow calling skills are not that refined! Between Jude yelling Here cowie cowie here cowie cowie and Kevin yelling Mooooooo and me saying here cow, the cows never came up to us. Jude found bunnies and groundhogs and said hi to all of them, along with every tree. We left our walk and headed over to G-ma and Gramps house and played outside there was sidewalk chalk and rolling down the front hill. All in all a great weekend!!
